Congress Avenue Bridge Bat Colony

The largest urban bat colony in the world, an estimated 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats living under a single bridge, emerging together at dusk every evening from March through fall. It's a genuinely strange spectacle that's become one of Austin's signature experiences.
