Alamo (Astor Place Cube)

A fifteen-foot black steel cube balanced on one corner that has spun freely in place since 1967, and generations of NYU students have made it a tradition to give it a shove on their way to class. It looks like abstract sculpture, but it is genuinely designed to rotate.
