At Water's Edge Mosaics

Nine large Byzantine glass mosaic panels by Dixie Friend Gay, each five feet square and made from more than 500,000 pieces of glass, set into the niches under the Waterway Avenue Bridge. Because they're literally underneath a bridge rather than along the open promenade, most people walking the Waterway never look up to find them.
