Nicholas Roerich Museum

Three floors of a quiet Upper West Side brownstone hold over 200 paintings by the Russian mystic-artist Nicholas Roerich, and admission is free even though almost nobody on the block seems to know it's there. The Himalayan landscapes upstairs are worth the walk alone.
