Perot Museum of Nature and Science

Thom Mayne's angular, cantilevered building anchors the edge of the Dallas Arts District, a deliberately jarring contrast to the more classical museums nearby. The escalator ride up through a glass tube is as much a spectacle as the exhibits inside.
